Formed in 1856, the county of Llano is located at the center of the Texas State that channels into the Colorado River either via the Llano River, from which the county was named after, or the Sandy Creek. As finishing sheds and granite quarries operate in the county, the soil is undoubtedly between sandy and sandy loam.
