The County of Lynn, located south of the Texas state, was formed in 1876. It was named after George Washington Lynn, a Texas colonist who defended in the Battle of the Alamo in 1836. This county primarily depended on large-scale cotton farming and ranching industries. It is home to the historical O’Donnell Heritage Museum and Tahoka Pioneer Museum, and it also features lakes from the year-round Tahoka Lake and Double Lakes to Guthrie Lake and Mound Lake where you can camp, hike, and enjoy the beautiful scenery with your family. Southern comfort food, along with traditional Louisiana and American cuisines serve this county.
