The county of Midland, located west of the Texas state, was established in 1885 and was named in reference to its location being in the middle of Fort Worth and El Paso, two large prominent cities in Texas. This county has been economically dependent on its agriculture, cattle-ranching, and petroleum industries. Midland, its county seat, is also known as the “Tall City” as it features impressive buildings and architectures that can be viewed on the horizon; its motto has always been “The Sky’s the Limit.” Moreover, the county of Midland is also home to historical sites and landmarks such as the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum, Pliska Aeroplane Museum, Midland County Historical Museum, and Museum of the Southwest. It also offers a wide variety of food from local Tex-Mex to European cuisine.
