The county of Randall, located in the south-central part of Texas Panhandle, was established in 1876 and organized in 1889. It was named after Horace Randal, a Confederate army that served in the American Civil War. This county has been economically dependent on ranching and farming industries, along with tourism and some manufacturing trades; wheat and cattle were its major agricultural products. It is home to some interesting and popular historical and recreational sites such as the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum, Palo Duro Canyon State Park, Jack Sisemore RV Museum, and the Texas Outdoor Musical.
