Big Tex Urban Farms is an urban agriculture project located at the State Fair of Texas Midway in Fair Park. This project started in 2016. In 2020, Big Tex Urban Farms harvested and donated more than 26,000 pounds of food. This is equivalent to 295,000 servings of fresh produce. Nine organizations in the Fair Park and South Dallas communities benefited from the donations made by Big Tex Urban Farms. These organizations work to fight hunger and food insecurity in Texas.
