4.0 Cellars winery is a product of three Texas winemakers – Pat Brennan of Brennan Vineyards, Gene Estes of Lost Oak Winery, and Kim McPherson of McPherson Cellars, who collaborated in 2009 and eventually opened its doors on April 2012. Experience their wine and cheese party pairing that shows "individuality" with "a nice job of balancing" showcasing "highlights from the three wineries". They also "have outdoor activities such as Cornhole and Jenga" and a "nice outdoor space to listen to music" where you can "enjoy your wine, cheese, and chocolate". They managed to have "enough wine servers to offer tastings" especially when their outdoor already "gets pretty busy".

Ab Astris Winery

Ab Astris Winery is a family-owned vineyard and winery established in 2018 and "set off of 290 a mile or two in Stonewall". They have a single windmill overlooking the vines that are planted around the back of their winery. Their "winery is on land from Lyndon B Johnson's original estate". Their "wines are all very good, very smooth" especially the 2015 Tempranillo and 2015 Montepulciano as well as their Roussanne. "Picnic tables under lovely trees" are also available "where you can look out over a pasture full of wildflowers, listen to the birds sing, and shoot the breeze while sipping a quality glass of wine". Alexander Vineyards

Alexander Vineyards is a boutique winery that is "an absolute hidden gem that is located right outside of Fredericksburg". When you visit, you will be "skeptical" because of "our tasting room may suck but our wine is great" sign. Two dogs named "Gizmo and Pinot" will also welcome you and "the view outside is gorgeous". They offer the "best selection of new world and old world varietals" including "Bordeaux, Champagne, Rieslings, and Spanish Tempranillos" which you can taste and purchase. "Do not be deceived by the look from the outside" if you want to experience the finest undiscovered wines. You will learn to "love the small and intimate feel of this winery".

Andreucci Wine Room

Although, "they are in the process of producing their own wines". The wait staff is also "friendly and very knowledgeable". Its "location has a really unique feature in its rooftop deck" with a "view and breeze" that are so "lovely". "The wine tasting" is "very enjoyable" and it "comes with food pairings" that are "spot-on with the wine". The sommelier is very "knowledgeable" and the wines are "impressive and the savory bites" will "enhance the experience". Even if you are "not a wine drinker", you will "absolutely" be able to "love their white wine, Calcaria". You may even end up joining their "wine club on the spot" with "no pressure to do so".

Longhorn Cellars

Opened in early 2018, "Longhorn Cellars owners Dr. Michael and Deanna Dickey are no strangers to wine". You will find "the tasting room" to be "lovely with cowhide chairs and decor". "Syrah, the Alicante Bouschet, and the Viognier" are just some of the "nice selection" of "their own wines, with interesting combinations of grapes". There is also "great live music" and "they even had a table of the most amazing homemade gumbo and beans'n'rice". Expect to see a Longhorn cattle and a white donkey when you "stop by for a visit and a tasting". You will not be "disappointed" because "their wines, staff and winery dogs make it feel like a home away from home".

Lost Draw Cellars is "highly" recommended, "for those looking for a family joint without all the bougie vibe". You will enjoy "all of the wines" and will even "LOVED a new limited edition Tannat" that is "aged in bourbon barrels". "This is a very attractive venue that is a short drive from nearly anywhere in Fredericksburg". A truly wonderful experience with "top-notch service". "Hospitality, not snobbery" because even if you are not "members of their wine club", you will be "welcomed here". They also "specialize in some unusual varietals" that are also "yummy such as the Marsanne, Roussanne", and "Sangiovese". Also, "make sure to try the Tempranillo".
