Lamb County is a county situated in the state of Texas. The county seat of Lamb County is Littlefield which is also the largest city set in the county. George A. Lamb is the namesake of the town. He was a soldier who died at the Battle of San Jacinto. The county was formed in 1876 but wasn’t organized until 1908. Bexar County portions are what the county is made from. Citizens donated labor for a first nine-room courthouse. It served the city until it burned in 1922. After that, a new courthouse was built of brick and concrete.
