The county of Morris, located in the north-eastern region of the Texas state, was founded in 1875 and was named after William Wright Morris, a pioneer judge in the nearby city of Henderson. This county has been economically dependent on its agriculture and steel manufacturing industry; broilers and beef cattle were its major agricultural products. Its county seat is home to the Morris County Museum and Daingerfield State Park; it also hosts an annual Captain Daingerfield Day every October. Moreover, traditional American, Mexican, Chinese, and Italian cuisines from burgers and barbecues, to pizzas and pasta are all being served in this county.
