The county of Real, located in the south-western region of the Texas State, was established in 1913 and was named after Julius Real, the only Republican member of the Texas Senate. This county has been economically dependent on its ranching industry; angora goats, sheep, and some cattle were its major livestock. It also features some historical landmarks such as the Real County Courthouse and the Real County Museum. Hence, the tourism industry also contributes to this county’s economy; its county seat hosts an annual July Jubilee where animals, clowns, dancers, and performers showcase their talents. It’s also home to 58 lakes, rivers, and other fishing spots. Furthermore, steakhouses and barbecue smokehouses, along with Italian, Mexican, and American bars and restaurants serve this county.
