The county of Trinity, located east of the Texas state, was established and organized in 1850. It was named after the Trinity River, which structures the southeastern region of the county. Trinity County is a heavily forested area; it features some of the best lakes, forests, and historic sites like the Davy Crockett National Forest, where you can go fish, hunt, and hike. Hence, it has been economically dependent on its forestry, cattle, and tourism industries; beef cattle is its most significant product. Its county seat is also home to the Bear Chase marathon that is being held every April.
