Having reconnected years later, they decide to establish their own small batch, high-quality European master-crafted beer. They keep things simple – just like the Germans – by using single-sourced malt. And what’s German beer without a biergarten? With their wives' help, they opened one in the Fall of 2018, and now operate a tap room called The Fox Hole in Dripping Springs. Aaron’s wife Melissa creates delicious baked goods from spent grains for the guests. Both couples are busy transforming a Hill County backroad into a German biergarten and giving the community a unique experience. 12 Fox is family- and pet-friendly with a large covered patio, outdoor biergarten, kids’ play area, and small dog park. It also serves other drinks like wine, cider, and mead.

From these meetings Central Texas Farmers Coop was formed that was “jointly owned and democratically controlled by small and beginning farmers” in Hays, Caldwell, Blanco, and Travis county. As a farmers cooperative, they are working together to provide Central Texans with “greater access to an abundant amount of diverse, local, and fresh foods.” The Central Texas Farmers Coop currently operates a multi-farm Community Supported Agriculture program in the Spring and Fall in San Marcos, TX.
