Hand-crafted “artisan raw cheese” is the specialty of Veldhuizen Cheese Shoppe. It is a family farm that cares passionately about their land, cows, and every aspect of the milking and cheese making process.The golden color of their cheeses comes from the “rich milk” of the cows. The cows at the farm gaze freely, year round, on 180 acres of pasture which includes crops such as barley, rye, millet, and grasses. They do not use hormones or antibiotics in their herd and they do not use coloring or preservatives in the cheeses they produce. Veldhuizen Cheese Shoppe also carry an assortment of other local, natural products in the shoppe as well such as eggs, bacon, bison sausage, crackers, cheese making kits, and soaps.
