F.A.R.M. Urban Park is a 501c3 veterans organization that assists veterans in finding opportunities in agriculture. F.A.R.M. Urban Park is located in Dallas, Texas. The acronym explains what they do: Farmers Assisting Returning Military. We've all heard of stories about how difficult it is for soldiers returning from overseas deployment. Many of them find a hard time fitting in. They have a hard time adjusting to civilian life. Many of them have problems like PTSD. Introducing them to farming helps them in many ways. It is therapeutic. It also gives them a sense of purpose and belonging. Lastly, it gives them an opportunity for a new livelihood and source of income.
