Review of Flintrock Hill Farm by TexasRealFood
In just four miles north of Kingsbury, lies the Flintrock Hill Farm.
Jackie and Fred manage the farm today. In 1999, they built several hydroponic greenhouses to deal with the farm's lack of water supply. Since there is not a lot of surface water in the area and the water price continuously rises, they have both decided to grow plants in hydroponic systems instead.
It has been a success since them. The farm sells strawberries, tomatoes, kale, arugula, swiss chard, spinach, kohlrabi, beets, green beans, squash, and more.
You can spot them at SFC Sunset Farmers Market daily or Cedar Park Farmers Market during high season.
