Review of Fredonia Brewery by TexasRealFood
Established in 2017, Fredonia Brewery is Nacogdoches first microbrewery. Owned and operated by friends Paul Murray and Vince Beard, the brewery takes its name from a significant period in Texas history, the Fredonia Rebellion and the establishment of the Fredonia Republic (1826-1827). The rebellion marks the "Anglo settlers' first attempts to secede from Mexico".
Enjoy Fredonia’s selection of seven year-round beers and several seasonal brews at their brew house and taproom. The taproom features handcrafted local yellow pine furnishings and a black walnut bar top. It also showcases a unique beer can collection donated by the Allerden family of Ohio. The collection has over 2400 unique cans collected since 1959. The brewery also has a family-friendly and dog-friendly covered patio and beer garden. For the kiddos, there’s root beer available.
