Review of Good & Able Farmstead by TexasRealFood
This family of four, along with their dogs and a cat, relocated to Athens, Texas, in May of 2017 and founded the Good & Able Farmstead. Later on, they added "cows, pigs, chickens, goats, sheep, turkeys, rabbits, and bees" in over a year. Crazy, right? This farm considers itself more significant than a homestead. The Howards "place great value on tradition, resilience, sustainability, and diversity without sacrificing health and flavor". They "produce the tastiest and healthiest meat" for their family and yours. Moreover, they understand that excellent and healthy food costs more, but food contaminated with chemicals lack nutritional value. They allow their animals to root, graze on grass, and soak up the sun. In this way, the animals live more naturally while increasing the nutrient content of their meat. Good & Able Farmstead is excited to serve the people in their community by bringing more to them! Soon, they will be offering "farm tours and classes, wool products, and possibly even raw milk".
