A soil lab and a nursery in one, the Gold Tilth Farm is a micro-farm offering seasonal greens to their CSA. They also partner with Lorica Tea and Botanicals. Their partnership involves growing and foraging plants for drying so it can become tea. In 2013, the farmer was only into teaching functional crafts and urban homesteading. Later on, they started selling at the Dallas Farmers Market. They mainly offered useful plants that most people would only see as weeds. Then, in 2014, they expanded. Today, they continue to improve the soil on the farm and strive to diversify their plants. One secret the farm uses if the EM-1. It is a strain of lactic acid bacteria that helps the farmers finish off their compost and manures.
