Slanging Dough Bakery is a gem for San Angelo and the West Texas area. Everything here is fantastic and “lovingly made by owner, Jason Churchwell.” He is a San Angelo native who brought “world-class croissants” to town. His pastries are “made from the best ingredients.” He uses Plugrá butter, Barry chocolate de couverture noir, a syrup made of orange blossom water, fresh cream, almond, and pistachio flour. Some of his delicious baked goods include “almond croissant, chocolate croissant, pistachio chocolate croissant, apple strudel danish, and spiced cranberry danish.” Most of his customers wait on the little side street in downtown San Angelo for an hour and a half just to have his best selling croissant!
