Time to gather around the kitchen table!
Take this hands-on cooking series at the AARC throughout the summer and learn basic cooking skills through simple and beloved recipes. Each session will be taught by either AARC staff or a community member and is a standalone session featuring a recipe unique to different Asian cuisines, filled with childhood nostalgia. Registration Required. Recipes and schedules listed below. All ages welcome, adult supervision for children required. Due to the nature of the cooking classes, recipes cannot be altered to accommodate food allergies; known allergies are noted below—if you have questions, please contact the AARC at

Saturday, June 10 | 11 PM - 12 PM – Filipino Champorado (contains dairy and chocolate)
Saturday, July 8 | 11 AM – 12 PM – Korean Kimchi (contains shellfish)
Saturday, August 12 | 11 AM – 12 PM – Vietnamese Đồ Chua

The Asian American Resource Center’s mission is to create a space of belonging and healing for Asian American communities in Austin and beyond.
