Named after its founder, Thomas B. Bell, The US city of Bellville is found in Austin County in the state of Texas. It also serves as the county’s seat. It sits along the intersection of FM 529, FM 2429, FM 1456 as well as the State Highway 159 and State Highway 36. As per the 2010 census, it had 4,093 residents. The family of Mr. Bell offered a portion of their land for the construction of the new county seat as established in 1846 by voters after the war for independence had come to an end. San Felipe was the original seat of the county before this move.
