Adjacent to the city of Bryan lies College station in the center of the Texas Triangle. The city is essentially residential with its economy geared to that of Texas A&M University. The college was located on the Houston and Texas Central Railroad and was known as a “flag station.” In 1877 the name was formed from the words ‘college’ and ‘station’. College station is currently known as Aggieland because the university has an emphasis on agriculture. Dedicated to the 41st President of the US, there is a George Bush Presidential Library and Museum located in the university.
