Kingsbury is a city located in eastern Guadalupe County in Texas. Kingsbury was a CDP in 2010, the town’s population was 782. Sam Neel, an Englishman colonized the area in 1870. Five years after that, the town received a post office and a railroad. The name Kingsbury was from a railroad official named William Kingsbury. The town was fortified in 1876. And by mid-1880s the town had an estimated population of 130. Cotton was the primary source of income for many residents until oil was discovered in the 1920s. The city was incorporated just five years ago in 2015 on May 19th.
