The US town of Bayview is situated in Cameron County in Texas. Bayview, with a population of 383 as per the 2010 census, is part of the Matamoros-Brownsville and Brownsville-Harlingen-Raymondville metro areas. The town has a total area of 4.6 square miles, out of which 0.7 square miles is water. In 2000, the city had an estimated household median income of $46,750 and a family median income of $56,500, with its per capita income valued at $18,620. The town had a post office between 1902 and 1913, but mail has since been rerouted to Kemah. The community continued to appear on state highway maps until 1937. The settlement has since been taken in Bacliff and Kemah.
