The US city of Bellaire is found in Harris County, in the state of Texas. Bellaire is popularly referred to as the 'city-of-homes.' The name is due to its mostly residential approach to building with offices mainly situated along 610 Loop. It was founded in 1908 by the then South End Land Company, William Wright Baldwin. Bellaire was incorporated in 1918 as a city. Exactly ten years after its establishment. It had a population of 16,855 as per the 2010 census. Baldwin was an Iowa native and Burlington Railroad’s vice president. He named the town “Bellaire”, which means “Good air” due to its breezes.
