The US city of Bertram is found in eastern Burnet County in the state of Texas. It is located at the intersection of State Highway 29 and Farm Roads 1174 and 243. It came into existence after the San Gabriel community shifted two miles to the north to get closer to the newly constructed railroad. It is named after Rudolph Bertram, who at the time, was the most significant stockholder and merchant in Austin and northwestern. Bertram is widely known for its train depot and the annual Oatmeal Festival. The festival attracts many people from across the country and beyond.
