Bigfoot is one of the unincorporated communities in Frio County in the US state of Texas. Its population as per the 2010 census was 450 up from 304 in 2000. The first settlement in the area was recorded in the 1860s during which the place was called "Connally's Store". It got to change its name after getting the first post office in 1883. The community was named Bigfoot in honor of William A. A. Wallace (who was fondly known as Bigfoot), a former local of the area. In 1903, the town experienced a devastating fire, but the residents managed to rise above the ashes.
