Bivins is located in Cass County in the US state of Texas. It is located in the East of Linden. Bivins is categorically placed as an unincorporated community along the state highway, extending along the pacific and Texas railroads. In 1889, Bivins got its name in honor of the Bivins brothers. The Bivins brothers owned a sawmill in this area. The Bivins sawmill was one of the only two in Bivins. As in the mid-1890s, the population had significantly grown, and businesses had also taken shape. As a result, these developments paved the way for a school and two churches.
