The US town of Blossom is located in Lamar County in the state of Texas. By 1849, this site already had several occupants. When the post office opened in the area in 1876. It went by the name Blossom Prairie. Blossom became a stopover on the Texas Pacific Railway. Additionally, this town then became a shipping point for timber and other allied products. In 1886, residents shortened the name to Blossom. In 1914, several companies were in operation. However, when local lumber supply declined, some people moved to seek other reliable places. After World War II, some citizens left this area for other cities.
