The US city of Blue Ridge is located in Collin County in the US state of Texas. The name Blue Ridge originated from the blue flowers which grow on the hills around city’s settlement area. This city intersects on the state highway in Collin County. Blue Ridge city initially owned by Matthiss Mowry, a revolutionary veteran in Texas who acquired this land through a public land grant. In 1876, this city established a post office, which in turn made this city an establishment. As soon as 1877, Blue Ridge had a gristmill, cotton gin, and sawmill. This improved productivity, which made the area develop.
