The US town of Blum is found on the northwest of Hill County in the state of Texas. This town lies on the junction of farm to market highways. Blum is a town established in 1881 after railway tracks extended to this region. Consequently, a post office opened in 1882. This community got its name after Leon Blum, who was a prominent Galveston merchant and railroad official. The businesses which started as a result of settlement encouraged the growth of this town. W. H. Taylor’s decision to sell his land encouraged settlement. By 1908, Blum was growing at an impressive pace.
