Boys Ranch is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in the northeast of Oldham County. It is located in the northeast of Vega City. This place initially went by the name Tascosa, and is the county seat of Oldham County. Although it is unincorporated, Boys Ranch enjoys the services of a post office. The main drive behind founding this place in 1939, is Cal Farley's idea to help troubled youth in the community. Boys Ranch’s growth over the years has now made it a census-designated place recording significant development. Above all, the community provided loan funds and scholarships for eligible applications.
