The US town of Broaddus is located in San Augustine County in Texas. Its population, as per the 2010 census, was 207. The town’s total area is estimated at 0.4 square miles, all of which is land. Broaddus was founded in 1904 a St. Louis Southwestern Railway station. That same year, the town was got a post office by the same name. Broaddus town prospered thanks to its lumber shipments. By 1914, it had the Lufkin Land & Lumber Company, a drugstore, and five general stores. By 1925, Broaddus’ population had grown to about 400. However, its rail service was discontinued in the 1930s. By 1940s, Broaddus had a school, two churches, and ten businesses.
