Also recognized as Collinsburg, Clint is located in southern El Paso County. The town was named after Thomas’ wife, Mary Clinton Collins. It is part of the El Paso Metropolitan Statistical Area. In 1886, the post office was established but it was known as San Elizario Station. The area soon became an agricultural center. Clint is mentioned is various books by different authors, such as ‘The Year of the Jackpot’ by Robert A Heinlein. According to 2010 census, the total population in that area is 926 which is equivalent to population density of 470 people per square miles.
