Fair Oaks Ranch stretches into three Texas counties — Comal, Kendall, and Bexar— in the US state of Texas. In the 1930s, Sir Ralph E. Fair, a successful rancher and oilman bought 500 acres and established Fair Oaks Ranch. Originally, Fair’s focus was on raising racehorses. Fair would, in the 1940s begin cattle ranching and develop his own Hereford strain. When Fair and his wife died in the 1960s, sections of the ranch were opened for development. In the mid-1980s, two cities were incorporated — Fair Oaks South and Fair Oaks North. The two cities were later consolidated to form Fair Oaks Ranch.
