Saint Tryphon Vineyards

Winery in Boerne - 12.43 mi

Saint Tryphon Vineyards is located "about 30 minutes north of San Antonio". There is a "quaint tin barn serving as the tasting room". Aside from having "creative styles and innovative approaches to winemaking" for a more "novel tasting experience", they also have "some really interesting Spanish and Italian styles". Their "outside patio is spacious and gives visitors a great place to relax". You should "try the wine tasting and choose for yourself what wines make you smile". You will find "wines here are smooth and with vivid flavors that linger like sweet memories". Their name is also based on Saint Tryphon (pronounced tree-fon), a third-century Christian martyr.

Try the "Cabernet Sauvignon" which is "very light" and has "an excellent taste". You may even have "a chance to try their wine made from a hibiscus flower (no grapes)" which is "really good". They will make you "feel right at home" and they are "very educational" in giving "background on their wines".

Kai-Simone Winery

Winery in Spring Branch - 14.02 mi

Kai-Simone Winery is a new addition to the Texas Hill Country wineries. This is located in Spring Branch, Texas along the Guadalupe River, very close to San Antonio. "Winery is easily accessible from Hwy 281 or Hwy 46!" You will have an "entire experience" that is "awesome" with "exceptionally divine" food and "the atmosphere is great". Their tasting room is opening in September 2019. Check their website and celebrate your next event. They are "taking event bookings now!" Send a message to them if you want to be the first to join the wine club. Space is limited. Their opening hours are Thursday to Saturday, 12-4 PM.

The Stray Grape Urban Winery

Winery in San Antonio - 14.86 mi

You "may wonder how a winery can be in a nondescript strip mall" but "do not let the location stop you from visiting". The Stray Grape Urban Winery "is a cute little place on the northeast side of town". This "place is really nice and relaxing" with "live music". They only produce  30 bottles at a time and each wine contains low-sulfides for freshness aside from decreased headaches. Aside from being a "great place to try new wines", you will also be "impressed with the service" when you visit. The staff is also "very helpful if you are not sure what your tastes in wine are". You can even "bottle your own wine and create labels if you have an event or something".

Timber Ridge Winery

Winery in Pipe Creek - 15.11 mi

Timber Ridge Winery is the only winery in Bandera County and they are located on the eastern edge near Pipe Creek. You will notice that the labels on their wines are a reflection of the local features in their area. A tree pictured on the Merlot label. This tree is also in the parking lot. Their Orange Muscat has a picture of the rock structure that visitors can see upon entering their place. There are "not many options out" there "but this one has a great wine". You will "loved the Orange Muscat" of this "small winery with big dreams!" Their Merlot is "nice" which is a "dryer variety". They have no website but they have a Facebook page. It is better to call them first before visiting and make sure it is the Texas location and not the one located in Pennsylvania.

Sister Creek Vineyards

Winery in Boerne - 15.87 mi

Sister Creek Vineyards is located between the cypress-lined East and West Sister Creeks in a restored 1885 cotton gin. They have barrel aging and minimal filtration methods to make the wines retain their full flavor. Their "wines are very tasty and the self-guided tour is awesome". You can "wear something warm when going on the tour as it is very cold inside". With "well trained and passionate people to teach you about wine in a rustic historical setting", they offer an "amazing assortment of delicious wines", "from dry to sweet and there is something for everyone". Visit and enjoy their wines. They are "not far from Boerne and close to Luckenbach".

Whisper Path Cellars

Winery in San Antonio - 17.16 mi

Whisper Path Cellars is located in San Antonio. They have won their "first medal" on their "very first vintage" in LSIWC. The Lone Star International Wine Competition (LSIWC) is the oldest wine competition in Texas. Their Tempranillo and Monastrell are the wines that have won bronze medals. A "great place to relax, drink some wine, have some fresh food, and often have great music on weekends too". Their tour and tasting are sure to lower your stress level. A "comfortable and classy place out of the heat" with "great wines". Their "chocolate and locally made gelato" are "very good". You can also try their Rosé, Mourvèdre, and the Pic Poul or the Charbono, Sagrantino, and Souzão. Aside from being "pet-friendly", their "wine stewards" are also "friendly, polite and knowledgeable". "These people make you so comfortable and making sure you are having a Great Time".

Dry Comal Creek Vineyards

Winery in New Braunfels - 21.60 mi

The Dry Comal Creek Vineyards is "super close to Canyon Lake and New Braunfels" and "this gem has lots of outdoor space and some delicious wine offering". "If you want to avoid the crowds at the more popular wineries in the Fredericksburg area", then you should go to this "great place". There are "plenty to choose from" their wines and "quality is exceptional".

FawnCrest Vineyard

Winery in Canyon Lake - 23.62 mi

"Fawncrest Vineyard is a boutique winery off the beaten path between Austin and San Antonio". "If you like a dry Merlot", visit Fawncrest. You can also try the gold medal winner, Cabernet Franc 2010. Their well-hidden sanctuary is nestled in the skirts of the Hill Country overlooking Canyon Lake, housing a variety of Bordeaux style wines. They are open on Saturdays for wine tasting. "Walking up the scenic drive to the lakefront patio", you will be greeted by "several amiable family pets". "Just off the patio rests the quaint vineyard and a reflection pool in the shape of Texas".

La Cruz de Comal Wines

Winery in New Braunfels - 23.64 mi

You will "loved the location" and the "natural wines" when you "visit a unique winery in the hill country of Texas" that is the La Cruz de Comal Wines . If you want to have an "excellent experience", this place is "definitely worth the drive out to Canyon Lake".
