Fulton is a city situated in Aransas County in Texas. As of the 2010 census, the city’s population was 1,358. Fulton is mostly known as a fishing community. The city was named after George Ware Fulton who was a land developer in the area. The town of Fulton was founded in 1866. George Ware Fulton created the town and named it for himself. Fulton family owned thousands of cattle and the community became the home of many slaughterhouses. Some of the top tourist attractions in Fulton are Fulton Mansion State Historic Site, Goose Island State Park, Tule Creek Hike and Bike Trail, and Mission-Aransas National Estuarine Research Reserve.
