Hewitt is a city set in McLennan County in Texas. At the 2010 census, the city’s population was 13,368. The community was founded when John A. Warren donated the land in the 1880s. The town was named Hewitt after George A. Hewitt who was an employee of a railroad. Hewitt rose slowly but steadily as well. The town was also a hit in agriculture. One of the city’s mottos is “Life Just Right”. The city has a total area of 6.9 square miles all of it is land. Hewitt’s public education system is being provided by the Midway Independent School District.
