Holliday is a city which is located in Archer County, Texas. The town was established in 1841. Holliday has recently seen a resurgence in growth in recent years with new neighborhoods and houses being built in the area. Holliday was given the name from a close-by Holliday Creek, which was named for John Holliday who was a member of the Texas operation. The cities entire area is 2.4 square miles, which consists only of land. This town is distributed by the Holliday Independent School District. Holliday’s location is in northern Archer County, and southwest of Wichita Falls. The altitude of the town goes up to 1,053 feet.
