Honey Grove is a city situated in Fannin County in Texas. The town’s population was 1,668 as of the 2010 census. The town’s residents gave the town the nickname “The Sweetest Town in Texas”. David Crockett was the one that discovered the area where Honey Grove is today. The man sent many letters back to his hometown in Tennessee to people about the new area with many trees filled with honey, which is why the town was named this way. In 1873. The town was officially founded. The city is being provided by its own Independent School District. The total area of the town is exactly 3 square miles.
