Hornsby Bend is a CDP located in Travis County, Texas. The town was established in 1832. The location’s population went up to 6,791 at the 2010 census. The town got its name after an early colonist and Texan postmaster Reuben Hornsby. The town’s population is pretty dense at 4000 citizens per square mile, as the entire town’s area is 1.7 square miles, all of it being land. One of the most well-known attractions that this town also has is a Bird Observatory which is open 7 days a week all year. The Great Colorado River also passes through this town.
