Howe is a town located in Grayson County, Texas. As of the 2010 census, the town’s population was exactly 2,600. Howe is a part of the Sherman-Denison area. The first colonists arrived right when the Texas Revolution happened, in 1836. It is said, that the rearmost Indian battle that occurred in Grayson County, happened in this area, in 1843. The first colonists of Howe Harriet Haning, Jabez, and Jabez’s brother John. They acquired the land through the Peters colony. The town became incorporated in 1884. When George M. McRary was the mayor of the town. Howe became a major seed shipping center by the late 1880s.
