Hubbard is a city located in Hill County in Texas. The town was named after Richard B. Hubbard who was the sixteenth Governor of Texas. The city’s location is seventy-two miles south of Dallas. The town’s population as of the 2010 census was 1,423. The city was organized when the railroads were built in the location of the town in 1881. The town’s population increase has been contributed by the town’s reputation as a health resort. Hubbard’s total area is exactly two square miles, with almost two percent of it being water. The city’s public education system is being provided by the Hubbard Independent School District.
