Imperial is a CDP situated in Pecos County in Texas. At the 2010 census, the town’s population was 278. The coterie was first settled in the 1900s. The area where the community is today used to be known as Redlands from 1908 to 1910. The town’s namesake comes from California’s Imperial Valley. which is near the townsite. The community’s school and the post office opened in 1910, and the townsite was platted one year later on the land of Benjamin E. Bush. The community’s public education system is being served by the Bueno Vista Independent School District. The coterie’s total area is 4.2 square miles, all of it is land.
