Inez is a CDP. It is a town located in Victoria County, Texas. At the 2010 census, the population was 2,098. Inez was the name of the daughter of a railroad developer, which is how the town gained its name. In the late 17th century, Fort Saint Louis, which was a French colony, lived in these lands. This coterie went by the name of Arenosa, indigenously. It was called after a close-by Arenosa Creek. In 1882. The town was renamed to Inez. And by 1920, the town reaches a total population of 200. The education system of Inez is distributed by the Industrial Independent School District.
