Jarrell is a city situated in Williamson County in Texas. The city was incorporated in 2001. As of the 2010 census, the town’s population was just under one thousand, with 984. The town was originally established in 1909. By real estate developer O.D Jarrell, from who the town got its name. The town was originally set at a junction of Bartlett and Western Railway, which was under construction and an old stagecoach road. On May 27th, 1997. The town was struck by Jarrell Tornado which demolished the Double Creek Estates. 300 Cattle and horses died, and 27 people. The town’s density is minimal, as the town has a total area of 48.2 square miles.
