Josephine is a city located in both Hunt and Collin counties in Texas. At the 2010 census, the population of the town was 812, with most of the residents being in Collin county, 755, and only 57 in Hunt. The beginning of the town started in 1888, with the appearance of the railroad. The town acquired its name from J.C Hubbard’s daughter. Mr. Hubbard donated the land to the townsite. The town gained its post office the same year. The city of Josephine is served by Community Independent School District. By the state of the U.S Bureau, the town has 1.9 square miles, all of it is land.
