Keene is a city located in Johnson County in Texas. The population was 6,106 as of the 2010 census. It is neighboured by Cleburn, the county seat of Johnson County. As stated by the U.S Bureau, the town has a total area of 5.0 square miles, and only 0.1 square miles out of this is water. Some of the top sights that you can see in Keene are Lost Oak Winery, Pirates’ Cove, Alvarado Park Lake, and Lost Oak Bike & Hike Trail-Head. Keene’s educational system is distributed by its own Independent School District. The U.S Route 67 passes through the south side of the city.
