Kennard is a city located in Houston County in Texas. As of the 2010 census, the population of the city was 337. The main street that goes through Kennard is Texas State Highway 7. In 1903. The city’s first Baptist Church was built. Over the years, it was changed into anti-gambling and anti-liquor campaigns. The city’s educational system is provided by its own Independent School District. Kennard had a peak population of 600 but search for jobs after World War II caused the town’s population to diminish to 340 citizens, which is near to what it is today. The town was incorporated in 1969.
