Krum is a city located in Denton County in Texas. As of the 2010 census, the city’s population was 4,157. The city’s total area, as stated by the U.S Bureau is 2.5 square miles, all of it being land. Krum was named after a railroad official of the Gulf, Charles K. Krum. The community began building around the railroad. The post office was opened in 1888. When Dallas and Forth Worth were progressing, so was Krum, because the town offered some of the big city workers to live in a more peaceful area. The population increased from 605 in 1978.
