Kyle is a city located in Hays County in Texas. At the 2010 census, the town’s population was 28,016. But, as of 2018, the town’s population has grown to an estimate of 46,874. It is now one of the fastest-growing cities in Texas. Captain Fergus Kyle established the community in 1881. He’s also the reason for the city’s name. He chose the area because of its juxtaposition to International-Great Northern Railroad. Some of the top sights placed in Kyle are Lake Kyle Park, Steeplechase Park, Bunton Branch, and Green Meadows Lane. Kyle has a nickname “Pie Capital of Texas”. Kyle was incorporated in 1895. Two years later they decided it was a bad idea. The town’s final incorporation was in 1906.
